VISITING LECTURER &
WORKSHOP FACILITATOR
Vetta Alexis BSc(Hons) Psych, PGCE, PGDip, MA.
Vetta holds degrees in Psychology, Education, Child Art Psychotherapy, and an MA (Distinction) in Hebrew & Jewish studies, specializing in Yiddish language, culture and literature. Vetta has a particular interest in Fairy Tales and Folk Tales, and has lectured in this area. Vetta is also an external PhD supervisor for the Faculty of Arts & Architecture, University of Brighton.
Vetta offers a range of lectures and workshops, on a variety of themes, including: Mythical Quests, Illuminated Letters and Manuscripts, and aspects of Fairy Tales.
Vetta offers INSET and training for teachers and educational organizations, focusing on developing creativity and self-esteem in children and adolescents. Fundamental to Vetta’s work is the belief that through their artwork children and adolescents can express themselves, resolve emotional issues, developself-esteem, as well as developing confidence in other curriculum areas. This training may support teachers in enabling children to develop their own art ideas and assertion. In this INSET session, participants will have the opportunity to explore this.

Training for newly qualified Secondary school teachers. Institute of Education, University of London.
• Knitting the Colours of the Garden
Workshop for adults on the creative use of colour and texture, inspired by the garden. The Chelsea Physic Garden.
