Vetta is a trained and experienced artist, teacher and therapist, and has extensive experience in facilitating creative arts groups and individual work with children and adolescents in schools and hospitals. She worked at the Middlesex Hospital, and Great Ormond Street Hospital, and has worked in infant, primary, secondary and special schools. She has also worked as an Artist in Residence in a secondary special needs school and a primary school in partnership with Camden Arts and The Jewish Museum, Camden. (Camden Education Arts Partnership; Museums & Collections Project.)

In the primary school project, Vetta worked with junior school pupils, with a focus on ‘journeys’, enabling each pupil to create an image of their own individual ‘Tree of Life’ - each pupil’s ‘Tree of Life’ reflected their own life journey. Working with pencil, paint, paper and fabric collage, and including objects with personal meaning to create symbolic visual narratives.

Vetta offers creative arts workshops, for children and adolescents on various themes, such as ‘Mythical Quests’, ‘Illuminated Letters’, and the ‘Tree of Life’,

and also offers sessions linked to exhibitions and school projects, as well as sessions with a more therapeutic focus. These workshops are available as one off sessions, as well as more ongoing work.

Vetta also offers sessions in Creative Therapy for Children and Adolescents. Vetta offers INSET and training for schools and educational organizations, focusing on developing creativity and self esteem in children and adolescents.

Fundamental to Vetta’s work is the belief that through their artwork children and adolescents can express themselves, resolve emotional issues, develop self esteem, as well as developing confidence in other curriculum areas. This training may support teachers in enabling children to develop their own art ideas and assertion. In this INSET session, participants will have the opportunity to explore this.
